NOTE: This product is prone to failure if installed incorrectly. We highly recommend purchasing at least two of this product in case of breakage. Ensure the hook side of the deflector is fully seated before pressing into place. Refer to the GIF image demonstrating proper installation.
Intended for use with the Freedom Ordinance FX-9 rifle, our FX-9 Blast Deflector V3 is especially useful for those who are left-handed. Our FX-9 Blast Deflector V3 blocks the majority of the gas blow-back from the rifle, making shooting the FX-9 much more tolerable for left-handed shooters.
Our newest iteration of our FX-9 Blast Deflector securely clips on to your picatinny rail with no additional hardware required. Simply align the hook side of your FX-9 Blast Deflector with an empty picatinny slot with available space on both sides (typically T7 and T8), and press into place.

Heat
Our products can weaken and deform under excess heat. This usually isn't an issue outside and during regular use, however extremely hot environments such as parked vehicles may lead to failures.

Great product. Works well. I had to modify it to fit my standard designed AR-9. I shaved down the inner side so it would fit flush and properly.
Fits perfect!!!
Does not fit a standard beveled AR pic rail. It is not deep enough, nor shaped properly to fit over the rail. Grinding the "inner, upper" surface to make it deeper to allow it to fit over the rail would render it too thin across the top to stay on. Useless product. I have more pictures.
Store owner replied: Hey Brook, As shown in our demonstration on the product listing, this item is not intended to be pressed flat as shown in your photo. (Left/Right referenced below is in relation to the photo provided, actual directions are opposite) The right side of the deflector has a "hook" that is intended to be lodged in the picatinny rails on the right side at a downward angle. After hooking the right side in place, the left slide is pressed downwards and snaps into place. This process doesn't require a lot of effort, and if you have to force it - you are likely making an installation error. I hope that helps!

Awesome custom engineered lil piece of plastic! I am a left handed shooter and this makes shooting my Freedom Ordnance FX9 all the more enjoyable! It blocks the flash from blinbing me and also redirects the casings away from my face. This will work on some other weapon platforms as well. I have a second blast deflector on a PCC that works just as good. If your weapon does not have the factory raised deflector already manufactured into the upper receiver I would take a look at buying 1 of these. All you need is a open picatinny rail slot on top just behind the ejection port and it will drop right on. The installation instructions that came with the deflector were spot on.

Easy, clean install. The mounting holes line up perfectly. Hopefully I can get a range day in soon and test out the functionality.

I ordered on July 29 and it's now Aug 10 and I have no updates on my order. I have tried direct emails and messaged them on their contact page many times and have had no reply. Other than charging my credit card for the purchase I have not response from them. I was looking forward to the blast deflector but....

The item does not fit on the FX 9 factory picatinny.
It fits great. The fit is really tight which I believe it a good thing. I did warm it just a bit before I installed it. I have not fired my rifle since I installed it but I believe it will work just fine.

The fibers of the face of the deflectors are not completely printed, and there a gap or small pitting. It works, but not sure about longevity.

I have a Gen 1 FX-9 and this so far works pretty great.
Great quality print job with a good fit and finish. Works well and snaps into the rail perfectly. The second type that bolts to the receiver of the fx-9 is more of a sleek finish, but this one is easier to put on and off.
Looks great haven't shot it yet... v.1 just broke on me and this is a way sleeker look. V.2 looks great
Got the first version of the blast deflector (which in my opinion looks and functions better than V2) got it installed and took to the range- didn't last more than 40rds before an ejected shell clipped it and sheared the functional part from the mounted arm. Wrote to Oscar Delta about the issue and haven't heard back at all. The deflector worked great when not broken.... but its not durable at all in my experience. They shipped a prototype V2 with my original order so I have that for a backup at least (had to super glue my V1 and MAYBE that'll hold up.......) but for $20 including shipping and no response or way to return or refund my money, I can't recommend their product.
Fast shipping. Needed a little adjustment for a tight fit. It definitely reduces the amount of blow back on your face. Highly recommend.
